Did not make it my self due to coming down with man flu. But by the sound of it the track again spoilt the racing for the touring cars. (as reported to my self after the first heat) As it was set up once again far to tight. Even the team drivers allegedly where having trouble negotiating the track. Shame really as it has put me off for the rest of the winter series. As it cost to much the race fee fuel to get there then money to pay for breakage's not on really.

Reports from today's winter series:
Well run event, organised and to clockwork
Track held up without any major tape issues.
£200 of prizes given away in a raffle.
New drivers who attended have commented they will return to SYR.
Gt12, WGT10 and tourers all managed to navigate the track, with a BRCA regulation of 2 metres width in four small sections of the track. The other areas were around 2.5 metres width. Drivers only concern was the chance of overtaking cleanly in some sections.All comments raised were taken on board and this is going to be rectified at the next meeting.
Besides the latter, overall a successful meeting with national drivers across the GT12 and touring class. Good feedback is coming through to keep SYR as one of the venues to participate at for quality RC racing.

The two people who supplied this information held a valid point, and in my previous post the main feedback was it could be hard to overtake or lap cleanly on probably four sections of the track. I did apologise to the two people and offered a form of good will to return at the next round, if they so wanted to.
The comments of drivers returning came from all classes, due to the professional running and atmosphere of SYR, with the confidence that we would look at a more accommodating track for the next event and further future meetings.
I take all your comments on board Paul and thank you for raising these. I add any ponts to our resolution plans to make SYR the venue that everybody wants to attend. If we did not have any concerns raised or feedback from competitors, we would not know on how we can improve.

Cracking days racing, track not an issue...plenty wide enough....well run, great venue....keep up the good work Chris... :-)

I agree, excellent days racing, great track and would recommend anyone to give it ago at the next meeting.
Well done to all the Donny guys that raced.
