I think i may have killed my new lipo after one meeting but im not sure how? I ran it last friday at donny for the first time and it was fine. Charged it before the final and ran 6mins then ive left it until yesterday. Had a look yesterday and my charger wont charge it saying the voltage is too low? But my esc has a built in cutoff which i set to 6.2v? I've tried it in me car and it powers the servo but doesnt turn the motor. Could it be ive left it a week partly discharged? Its a 6500 so should have had plenty left in it. Is it toast?

maybe try someone else's charger?
what charger have you got?
I know my team orion one used to freak out but other peoples chargers at the time charged the pack fine.
Doesnt sound good though. This is the reason 6 min finals are crap at donny!!! Were running cars with pretty high power sapping motors now that get silly hot after 5 mins. Its just killing motors and batterys. GT10 run 6. Not TC!

There is no way running 6 mins should have hurt your battery, mine are only 4600 and have always been fine. Get a DMM on it to check the voltage. If its low then I can only presume that the batt is a dud. Did you leave the LIPO plugged in for that week? Cos that might have done it.
If it is kaput, then don't risk trying to 'revive' it, they can be bloody dangerous so get it disposed of.

If its any help to you neil, i can meet you after work to collect your battery and i will have a look at trying it on my charger.
Sherbs mentioned a way of reviving them by charging one cell at a time by the use of the balance port.

it maybe too much for just one cell if you cant charge quick enough. Depends on how much your pulling out of the cells after a heat.

Sorry neil got to agree with Chris here the 6 min final should be nothing to do with it. I use 1 battery all night attempting to charge in between rounds I then leave my battery til the next donny meeting and charge, I get between 20000 and 25000 in it. Should not be a problem! I've heard about doing certain things to revive them but to be honest I wouldn't risk it, get in contact with the place you bought it and see if they will accept it back as faulty and replace.

Also 6 min finals suck, worst idea i've ever heard of 5min qualifiers all night get your car sorted, motor not over heating etc 6min final what?

Well the LIPO is really a 6200 but I manage to sqeeze a little extra in LOL !!!!!
it can only be acheived by using wax corallys and super juice from your local hobby shop hehe......
Its not the 6 mins thats the problem, its just I hate running a different amount of time, if we race 6 min heats and 6 min finals I wouldn't mind. Just like a little consistency.

Are you saying we should qualify by who does the fastest lap chris??
We don't race F1 but really my point is that as a standard race setup for clubs brca etc we generally race the same amount of time across qualifying and finals. just not sure why we run 5 min qualifiers and 6 min finals, personally would rather stick to a set period of time.

Do you actually notice a difference though, I know I don't. Once I'm in the zone and racing 6 mins doesn't really feel any different. It doesn't hurt my batts or motor either, so I don't see the problem. Makes for a better race as well. People who made mistakes have more time to catch up and race and people infront have to make sure they can keep a cool head for the extra time. That awesome race me and the Captain had a few meets back would prolly have never happened in a 5 min race cos I wouldn't have had enough time to catch him up.
They are just making sure we use the time we are paying for in the hall aswell. I'm sure if numbers were to pick up we would reduce the time again. I remember running 5 min heats and then 4 min finals before. No-one pipped up about that....

Thanks for the info doods. Checked it with me mm and it gives 4.0v so looks like one of the cells has giped. Cheers for the offer Dan but luckly i had a spare off Sherbs so will be ok for Friday. I'll bring it on fri if i don't get it sorted just to double check it on an other charger. Will defo take it back to the shop and see what they say.

If you don't get it sorted neil I'll bang it on my charger, it sorted scotty's battery out with the same problem.......i'm not @ donny on friday though....you can charge each cell individually though
