My self and Paul H were talking about a better way of keeping the sand in the hoses. As we build the track, dragging the hose over the carpet, some of the hoses are leaking sand on to the carpet. This is the reason we have no grip in the first two heats. We were thinking about putting wood like we have on the plastic pipes on each end of the hose. This would have two benefits, we could join the hose's with a short bit of plastic drain pipe so we do not have to tape it together or actually join the square plastic to the hose for more track options. The only thing is how to fix the wood ( square peg into round hole) in to the hose. The only way I can think is strapping like they use in warehouse's. Can any one get hold of a hand held plastic strapping machine + a couple of meters of strapping and fixing clamps 8-)you don't get if you don't ask .
